JS HAY enjoys a highly successful record of delivering mixed tenure solutions for the affordable housing sector. Through experienced staff and specialist managers it has been able to improve its service continually; gaining a better understanding of customers’ needs, meeting their exacting standards fully and sharing that knowledge with its supply chain.
Today, it works with many of the region’s registered social landlords and local authorities. Working collaboratively, it aims to add value consistently through the construction process, through such focuses as promoting an eco-friendly approach to every project.
JS HAY has in-house expertise available to assess energy and sustainability requirements. By working closely with clients, often from the earliest design stage, the company can advise on possible implications and incorporate any changes straight away, significantly cutting the need to consult externally.
JS Hay's own energy assessor is an accredited
OCDEA (On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor) and can therefore issue the EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) required for sales packs and Building Control.
Level 3 CSH (Code for Sustainable Homes), has set challenging standards in the house building sector, covering a range of issues that include both energy and water. There are, of course, a number of ways of achieving these requirements, and each project needs to be assessed on its own merits, especially where ‘renewables’ are required.
For several years, JS HAY has been in a strategic partnership with Circle Anglia group, building more than 150 new homes. It is a mutually rewarding relationship which in many respects exemplifies the company's understanding of this vitally important social sector.
