INVESTING IN LOCAL 'WILDLIFE'

The Norfolk building contractor, JS Hay Limited, is well known for its use of environmentally friendly materials and promotion of modern energy-saving technologies in its projects. Now the business, family-owned for some 50 years and based just outside Norwich, has pledged itself to support wider initiatives to protect the county and its wildlife through membership of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.

JS Hay, which also has a specialist joinery division, employs more than 80 staff and has built a reputation right across the Eastern Region for the high quality of its work in both the public and private sectors.

Well known for restoring historic homes and for luxury barn conversions, they also build schools and affordable housing projects as well as a range of commercial schemes.

Of particular pride to the business is its prestigious central role in the building of the new £1m Roman Catholic Church of the Annunciation in Walsingham, where it has more recently completed work on a £2m redevelopment of facilities at the village’s Anglican shrine.

“We’re a local firm and are pleased to support Norfolk Wildlife Trust in its endeavours to improve the environment and protect our wildlife,” said JS Hay company chairman, Sue Lockhart.
